I'm in the process of doing a rather significant sweep of all my fanfic ... and I realise there are a lot them that are unfinished, or just simply little snippets of plots I wrote down.  

This brought on an interesting question I'd like to ask you, writers.  Those of you who collect rather large collections of unfinished plots, how do you organize them?  Do you write down a file name that summarizes what's already written if you don't have a title?  Or do you paste all these snippets in one file?  Inquiring minds want to know, and find inspiration to organize these bunnies multiplying on their hard drive. :D

Well...I have more than one fandom, but yes...I put all the snippets in a single one-fandom file (so "HP To Be Written"; "DS To Be written"; "DW To Be Written") and I keep all of those files on google docs, just in case the mood strikes me to look at them while I'm at work. *g*

I'm thinking of formatting all my stories and putting them up on Google Docs as well. I like the idea of a one file to keep unfinished snippets in ... gosh knows I have a thousand of them gathering cob webs ... most of them I'll never work on but I can't bring myself to toss them out.

Snippets tend to get saved in one file. Mere plot bunnies I often post as private posts in my journal with the tag "ideas", so I can get at them without being home, if I want to.

Yeah as I said above, I like the idea of one file. Even if I'll never finish them, sometimes some bit of it can be used in another story.
