One of those days

I had possibly one of the creepiest days of my life. If I was a superstitious person, I probably would have gone home and to bed at the first incident.
Incident #1: I was driving on a highway in the country (where I live) this morning. No rush hour there, as the traffic is sparse, so we're *moving* fast. Then all the cars in front of me are breaking, and I'm like "what the (*%@?!* and break as well, nearly ramming into the car of me, not to mention almost being hit by my neighborhooding cars which were swerving. Then I spot the reason: a beautiful black dog is weaving in and out of the road, apparantly lost. Ten minutes later we're moving again, and I'm in tears because the dog is STILL running beside the road and weaving in and out and I just know somewhere down the line, he will be hit. I'm only mildly reassured by the squad car speeding toward the scene.
Incident #2: Some guy at work wanted to send us a joke through e-mail (the Spiderman lego thing), and managed to do that, but also had a link to a 'real footage' video of a car slamming into another, then crushing a bewildered pedestrian.
Incident #3: Coming home, I pass by the scene of a huge accident.
Incident #4: A guy loses his cargo on the highway (the same freaking highway!) and drops a DESK in the middle of the road. More swerving ensues.
I am now home and really thinking about staying home for the entire weekend.
What a day.

Date: 2004-07-09 08:55 pm (UTC)This somehow reminds me of Final Destination.
Glad you're ok, and that you're not superstitious. Besides, it's bad luck to be superstitious. :)
*hugs*

Date: 2004-07-10 02:45 am (UTC)I would've been all shaken up.
I'm very supertisous, but it would be about the 3 incident when I would call Seth or Greg (Gay yes, but still over-protective male friends) to take me home. They would ensure my safty.
