Thank you! Yeah I had fun with Shaun ... just scribbles in the beginning trying to get the likeness, then a splash of red ... and it started to come together. He has a fun face to draw. :)
Oh, those are remarkable! I love the RDJ but the Simon Pegg is so perfectly recognizable. (Cracks me up how one can crossover the caption with both SotD and ST!)
These are fabulous. I still haven't quite decided on my reaction to the trailer/movie. It doesn't seem like Sherlock Holmes to me and I have a pretty flexible definition. But it *is* Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, so I'm totally there.
It doesn't look like SH, I agree. In fact my first reaction was; "Oh look, they modernized SH". They also inserted elements of the paranormal, which I am trying very hard to remember whether it was a topic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ever touched upon in his books. Certainly I remember a lot of plotlines that seemed paranormal but ended up being explained with natural law (I can hear Mulder stirring somewhere). We'll see - it certainly looks interesting enough. I mean ... slashOrama!
My memory is a bit fuzzy about Doyle and the paranormal. The only thing that stands out is 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' and that ended up having a perfectly logical explanation. But Doyle himself was a firm believer in the paranormal, so I may be mixing up his writings about Holmes with his other works.
And, yes, slashorama. Even with Irene Alder. This may actually rival The Private Lives film.
